THE FITNESS TRAILS CONCEPT

Five systems comprise the Fitness Trails concept

Exersites® (clusters of exercise stations)

Fitness trails

Stretching guides

Golf stretching tees

Junior School Exersite®

Each system is characterized by a series of exercise stations, either grouped together or spaced out over a fitness trail.

At each station, users are ‘coached’ by signs carrying high quality graphics and text, describing and illustrating how to use the equipment safely and effectively.

Fitness Trails' systems are user-friendly, safe and provide a physiologically appropriate, effective, and rigorous conditioning workout for people of any ability and fitness level.

ENDORSEMENTS

The program has been endorsed by respected sports and exercise organisations including the Australian Council for Health Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER) and the Australian Institute of Sport. Fitness Trails is an Australian Federal Government 'Active Australia Provider'.

What the English Institute of Sport says about Fitness Trails

'The concept of outdoor exercise sites is great as it can provide both variety and convenience. Two important factors with exercise adherence - well balanced fitness trails exhibit an appropriate mix of cardiovascular, core stability and body weight resistance stations for different levels of fitness and body types.  Blending all those components with the opportunity to take advantage of the great outdoors, I’d say is appealing to all levels of exercise enthusiasts and athletes…'
